What are the delivery and postage details?

Delivery is free for  all orders over £90  and will be sent by Royal Mail.  This is a tracked service and usually arrives the next working day.

Standard rate is £4.50.

If a piece of jewellery is handmade to order this will take between 2 and 3 weeks to create in Julia's studio.

Ready to send jewellery will be dispatched within 3 days.

How long will it take to receive my jewellery?

Can I have a custom made piece of jewellery?

Please note I will not be taking on any custom made jewellery at the present time

Custom-made jewellery, will be undertaken when I can and each request will be assessed individually and takes approximately 5 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the design and materials required.

What sustainability practices does Julia Brice Designs follow?

At Julia Brice Designs, sustainability is central to our mission. We use recycled silver for our jewellery and recycled sterling silver chains for our necklaces. In our workshop, we mill our own silver sheets to reduce waste. Our packaging is eco-friendly, featuring recycled boxes, organic wrappings, and ribbons. We also strive to source gemstones from reputable suppliers whenever possible.

Do the necklaces come with a chain?

Sterling silver chains are optional for custom made jewellery.  Please see individual item for details.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we only ship jewellery within the UK and cannot ship to Northern Ireland due to postal regulations. We hope to offer international shipping in the future.

Is the jewellery hallmarked?

Accepted Answer

I am registered with the London Assay Office.  All items over the legal weight limit will be sent for hallmarking.    Hallmarking will add another 7 days to the delivery time of custom made jewellery.

Can I return my item?

Accepted Answer

If within 14 days of receiving your jewellery your are not happy with your purchase I will offer a refund.  Please contact me to arrange this.  Jewellery should be returned in its original unworn condition with original packaging.  Unfortunately I cannot accept returns on personalised jewellery. Do you offer gift wrapping services?

We don't offer a gift wrapping service, but all jewellery is beautifully packaged in a luxury eco box, wrapped in tissue paper and ribbons. The postage box is filled with shredded seed paper offcuts that can be planted on a windowsill.

Can I have my moon phase engraved?

Accepted Answer

Moon Phase necklaces can be engraved on the back with a date or a name.  The smaller jewellery such as rings and cufflinks can fit one letter on the back of them.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Accepted Answer

Over time silver will tarnish.  To prevent this keep your jewellery in an airtight bag when not in use.  Wearing silver prevents tarnishing.  To keep it looking shiny gently rub with a soft cloth or a polishing cloth.  Avoid exposing to chemicals and perfumes.

Natural gemstones vary in hardness and some need greater care than others.  As a general rule avoid using a polishing cloth,  chemicals and detergents on stones.

Remove jewellery when sleeping, bathing, exercising or swimming.

What should I do if my jewellery is damaged?

If your jewellery has minor damage or scratches, we offer free repairs; you only need to cover the postage costs both ways. We recommend using a postal service that includes insurance for jewellery.
